On May 4, 2026, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #68536553, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) informed importers of the reports and resources available in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) to monitor customs duty refunds. These include refunds expected on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), that were processed through the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) tool in the ACE Portal.
To support the trade community, CBP has released several new and enhanced ACE Reports to help users monitor CAPE declarations and refund statuses:
Links CAPE declarations, entry numbers, and refund numbers, and displays approved refund amounts, including a breakout between principal and interest.
Allows users to track refund progress after CBP approval, including secondary statuses such as Sent to Treasury, Treasury Issued, Funds Diverted, or Check/ACH Returned.
Provides information on refunds rejected due to incomplete ACH Refund enrollment. For assistance, refer to:
Identifies entry summary-level details for CAPE declarations that have been sent to Treasury and expands on the information available in the REV-603 report.
ACE users are encouraged to schedule recurring ACE Reports to receive automated email updates and reduce the need for manual tracking. For guidance on setting up recurring reports, see ACE Reports - QRC - Schedule and Email a Recurring Report | U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
CBP emphasized that refunds may be delayed or rejected if ACH enrollment is incomplete or incorrect. Refunds that cannot be processed electronically may be returned, requiring additional corrective action. Importers should ensure their ACH refund information is current before submitting CAPE declarations.
